WCF Successfully Holds General Elections

The World Capoeira Federation (WCF) successfully conducted its General Elections yesterday, marking another important milestone in the Federation’s democratic and institutional development. In accordance with the WCF Statutes, General Elections are held every four years and determine the leadership of the Federation for the upcoming term.



During the elections, delegates elected the Management Board, including the President, Vice President(s), Secretary General, and Board Members, as well as the Chair and Members of the Supervisory Commission. The elections were conducted in an orderly and transparent manner, reflecting the active participation and trust of WCF member organizations.


The results of the General Elections are as follows:

• Rodrigo Furbino Gomes (Mestre Ticotico) – USA



1st Vice President

• Jamil Huseyn – Azerbaijan


Secretary General

• Elgiz Alizada (Professor Bom Menino) – Azerbaijan


Management Board Members

• Alexandre Ronan De Sousa (Mestre Pequinês) – Brazil

• Magno Lopes Nogueira (Mestre Petti) – Finland

• Mamoudou Fassassi (Mestre Fassassi) – Benin

• Jose Luis Schenone Bromley (Contra Mestre Vampi) – Peru

• Nahid Aghazada (Contra Mestre Aranha) – Estonia

• Daniel Hemsworth (Formado Chumbinho) – Hong Kong
