Latvian Capoeira Federation Granted Full Membership in the World Capoeira Federation

The World Capoeira Federation (WCF) is pleased to announce that the Latvian Capoeira Federation has officially been granted Full Membership status. The organization had been an Associate Member of the WCF since 2015, and following a series of internal reforms and organizational improvements, it has now successfully met all requirements for Full Membership.

This transition reflects the Latvian Capoeira Federation’s commitment to institutional development, good governance, and the promotion of capoeira in accordance with WCF standards and international best practices.

As a Full Member, the Latvian Capoeira Federation is entitled to a range of exclusive and expanded rights, including the authority to establish and select the national capoeira team to represent Latvia in WCF international competitions, conferences, and official events. In addition, it becomes the only and sole official capoeira partner of the WCF in Latvia, meaning that all WCF-related activities within the country will be conducted through the Latvian Capoeira Federation.

Full Membership also grants the right to vote in WCF General Elections, nominate candidates for vacant positions, and actively participate in the Federation’s decision-making processes at the international level, among other important privileges.

The World Capoeira Federation warmly congratulates the Latvian Capoeira Federation on achieving Full Membership status and wishes the organization continued success, active development, and impactful contributions to the global capoeira community.
